The Teaching Autopsy Dissection Hall, configured in a gallery layout, is a state-of-the-art facility featuring three autopsy tables and a capacity to accommodate up to 75 students. This space is used by the faculty of the Institute of Forensic Medicine to perform medico-legal autopsies and to conduct demonstration classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The mortuary also frequently serves as a venue for specialized cadaver workshops for various clinical specialties.

Staffed and maintained by the Resident Medical Officer, the mortuary's front office operates 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring the seamless and dignified reception and release of the deceased.
