The Welfare Committee of Madras Medical College is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of students, faculty, and staff. We strive to have a supportive and inclusive environment for all through initiatives that address mental health, academic support, financial aid, and overall campus welfare.
The main function of the welfare committee is to be a bridge between the student body and the administration, so as to foster a student friendly environment and any grievances can be solved at the earliest. We ensure this through regular welfare committee meetings with the students and staffs.
It is also the duty of the welfare club that we foster a strong relationship with our college alumnis, and to help render a healthy network of MMCians, primarily by conducting alumni meet events, organised by the students and headed by the welfare committee.
Food court
Student’s canteen is of vital importance in our campus and one of the duties of this committee is to regulate and maintain the quality of food provided while serving a warm embrace on a plate.
Since this is a student run canteen, we use the welfare committee meetings to discuss about the menu and what changes can be made to ensure betterment of the canteen.
Amenities
Taking care of facilities like restrooms, lighting, ventilation, safety standards and suggesting improvements to management.
We also seek improvements in present amenities for the ease of our students like providing air conditioned lecture halls and disturbance free library facilities.
