- Madras Medical College marked a pivotal milestone, with the long-awaited inauguration of its official Alumni Association, formalising decades of collective legacy into a structured, future-focused framework.
- The registered headquarters office was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare Thiru Ma. Subramaniam in the presence of the Honorable Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Thiru P. K. Sekar Babu, the Honorable Mayor Ms. Priya Rajan the Principal Secretary Department of Health and Family Welfare, Thiru P.Senthil Kumar IAS, the Dean of Madras Medical College, Dr. K. Shantaraman and the founding executive committee of Madras Medical College Alumni Association
- The founding executive committee—comprising of senior distinguished alumni, and key academic leaders—was inducted on 02.10.2025, setting the foundation for a more organised and effective alumni network.
- The new association enables MMC to mobilise its alumni for academic support, mentorship, research collaboration, and resource development.
- With its leadership now formally established, the institution strengthens its ability to align alumni engagement with strategic priorities.
- This launch creates a functional platform that will directly enhance institutional capacity, streamline collaboration, and support MMC’s long-term growth.
