Scholarships

UG Section - Office Notice:

All information regarding scholarships—including application details and the application process—is available at the UG Section in the office, located on the 2nd floor of the college campus.

Note: Once a scholarship is received, students must submit an official letter to the UG Section informing them of the scholarship received.

Types of scholarships:

  • Merit-based scholarships:Awarded for academic excellence, leadership, or achievements in areas such as sports, arts, or community service.
  • Need-based scholarships:Granted to students who demonstrate financial need, helping to ensure access to education regardless of economic background.

2 Pudhumai Penn Thittam The Social Welfare & Women Empowerment Department of the Tamil Nadu government oversees the scheme. Eligibility: The scheme is for girls who have completed their schooling (Classes VI-XII) in government schools. It aims to encourage girls to pursue higher education, including undergraduate, diploma, ITI, or other recognized courses. 5 Free Education Schemes for BC, MBC & DNC students, Tamil Nadu Department of Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu bcmbcmw.tn.gov.in The scholarship is open to students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC category who are pursuing professional degree course. The annual income of the family should not be more than INR 2,00,000. 11 Scholarship for Differently Abled Students from Class 9th Onwards, Tamil Nadu Commissionerate for Welfare of Differently Abled, Government of Tamil Nadu The scholarship is open to differently abled students studying in class 9th to postgraduate level (including Vocational, Professional, Medical and Engineering courses) 2. The applicant should have scored at least 40% marks in the previous qualifying examination. Central Govt. Scholarships

Prime Minister Scholarship

Eligibility: The students must have cleared his/her all subjects in first attempt. Wards/widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles Personal killed/disabled in action or died for Govt Services etc. Wards of State Police Personnel who are martyred during Terror/Naxal attacks from Academic Year 2019-20 onwards Dependent wards of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel and widows(below the Rank of Gazetted officer)
