Pediatric Surgery

I’ve been a pediatric surgeon for the past 31 years, mostly at Madras Medical College/ ICH. My special interest is in pediatric urology, specifically reconstructive urology and I specialise in single stage repair of all proximal hypospadias. I have served as operating faculty in many workshops besides delivering prestigious orations like the Prof.MSR Oration and the Prof.Dayalan Oration. I’m currently Chairman of the Indian Society of Pediatric Urology , the Apex Committee for Intersex Disorders and of the Chennai Chapter of Pediatric Surgeon

I did my MBBS from kilpauk and MS from coimbatore. I completed my MCH PAEDIATRIC SURGERY in the year 1997 to 1999 at madras medical college. I have chaired many scientific sessions and demonstrated in surgical workshops in STATE and NATIONAL CONFERENCES.

i have voracious interest in Wilms tumour and has done around 200 cases study for 19years.she has 20 publications in peer review international journals. I have initiated diploma in nursing courses in critical care and newborn. She has initiated MCh pediatric surgery course 2seats in Stanley medical college

I completed my MASTERS IN PEDIATRIC SURGERY at ICH , MADRAS MEDICAL COLLEGE in the year 1998 and since then I have continuously served at ICH for nearly 30 years. I have groomed many batches young pediatric surgeons over the last two decades.

I have completed my MBBS in PSGIMSR coimbatore , DNB GENERAL SURGERY at gknm and completed MCH PEDIATRIC SURGERY courseat MMC. I have six publications. My special interest is in pediatric urology especially hypospadias.

I completed my MCH PEDIATRIC SURGERY in COIMBATORE MEDICAL COLLEGE in the year 2017 under the mentorship of PROF. DR. RAJAMANI. I have DONE THREE publications. My special interest is in PAEDIATRIC UROLOGY , LAPRASCOPY AND THORACOSCOPY .

He has around 7 years of experience in the field of paediatric surgery. His areas of interest include paediatric urology particularly urethroplasty. He has been a part of the organising team of a number of national and state conferences and work shops including CHEPSCON 2022, MIRACLE 2025, Pediasurg 2024 etc. He has delivered talks in a number of national and state conferences including PESICON and NEPSCON etc. He is a part of the editorial team of JIAPS ( Journal of Indian Association of Paediatric surgery). He has around 10 publications in national and international journals . He has chaired sessions in the national conference of Society of Paediatric Urology.

I joined Govt Service at 2009 and I got trained under General Surgery for 3 years Paediatric Surgery including Paediatric Urology and Newborn surgeries for 3 years and continuing as Assistant Professor in the Dept of Paediatric Surgery at ICH

As an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Surgery at ICH, Egmore, I have actively contributed to clinical care, teaching, and research. I manage complex surgical cases, mentor postgraduates, and participate in academic programs. Senior Resident at KGH and attend OP daily with dedication. While operative volume is limited, I manage all surgical cases and attend all NICU referrals, adapting to the institution’s pace. I remain grateful for duties at my parent hospital and aim to increase surgical conversions.
