Regularly presenting topics inNational IAG conferences.Have nearly 15 years experience in Geriatric medicine. PresentlySecretary for Chennai chapter of IAG and Joint secretary of Indian Academy of Geriatrics. Areas of Interest are Frailty, Multimorbidity and Palliative Care.

Dr. Sumathi has previously served as the Deputy Director of Tuberculosis and is currently working as a Senior Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Ageing, Guindy.
