The Eco Club of Madras Medical College is more than just a group; it is a movement within our campus dedicated to protecting, preserving, and celebrating the environment that sustains us.
Our vision is to create a campus where the rhythm of academic life flows hand in hand with the harmony of nature
Throughout the year, we mark significant environmental days with purposeful activities that blend awareness, action, and appreciation for our natural world. We organise field visits that bring us closer to the marvels of biodiversity - whether it’s the gentle wonder of watching parrots in their natural habitat, the awe-inspiring sight of turtle hatchlings making their journey to the sea, or exploring green landscapes that remind us of nature’s resilience.
Within our campus, we lead hands-on initiatives such as ploughing, tree-planting drives, and greening projects, turning everyday spaces into living reminders of nature’s resilience. Every sapling planted and every patch of soil cared for is a step towards a more sustainable and beautiful college.
We believe change begins here. By nurturing our shared surroundings, the Eco Club is building a greener, cleaner, and more inspiring campus - where knowledge grows under the shade of trees and the future is as bright as it is green.

World Environment Day
World Environment Day is one of the Eco Club’s most anticipated celebrations ; a day when the entire campus comes together to honour our planet. Through creative, competitive, and educational activities, we inspire our peers to reflect on the role each of us plays in shaping a sustainable future. It’s not just a celebration; it’s a call to action.
